USUI HOLY FIREĀ® REIKI III
REIKI
The term Reiki comes from two Japanese words: “rei", which means universal, and “ki,” which loosely translates to a flow of a lifeforce of energy, which happens to exist in all living things.
HISTORY OF USUI REIKI
The Reiki healing system was founded by Mikao Usui in Tokyo, Japan, in the early 1900s. Usui emphasized certain standards and values that promote peace and harmony, principles shared by many cultures. After World War II, Usui Reiki was introduced to the Western world.
Hawayo Hiromi Takata played a key role in bringing her mastery of the Reiki tradition to her home in Kauai, Hawaii. She rapidly popularized Reiki across the Hawaiian islands, establishing a Reiki clinic in Hilo from 1939 to 1949. Takata began teaching Reiki in the 1950s, contributing significantly to its global spread.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Length of Session: A typical Reiki session lasts 60 to 90 minutes, allowing ample time for deep relaxation and energy flow.
Number of Sessions: The number of treatments varies based on individual needs and goals. Generally, three to five sessions spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart are recommended. Consult with your doctor about incorporating Reiki alongside other therapies.
What to Wear: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing during your session. I recommend bringing or wearing socks for added comfort, as sensations of heat or cold in the extremities can occur during energy work. You will remain fully clothed throughout the Reiki session.
