ABOUT ME
I am a certified Usui Reiki Master practitioner as well as being attuned to Usui Holy Fire Reiki I & II . I am also a certified Elemental Rhythm Breathwork Facilitator. I find great joy being able to help others find healing. After more than 16 years of living in chronic pain from physical injuries and ailments due to environmental factors and multiple surgeries I needed to regain my health and my sanity. Over a period of time the daily pain signal to my brain began to take an unbearable toll on the quality to my life.
I struggled trying to find a bridge between traditional Western and Eastern Medicine. When traditional medicine was no longer working I began my own search for healing. I needed a holistic approach to heal the body, mind and spirit. The body remembers and keeps score of our physical, emotional and spiritual damages. A holistic approach is necessary when trying to heal, whether that be a physical injury or emotional scars. Sometimes these damages we wear inside and cannot be seen on a Xray or an MRI.
I found Reiki in my search for wholeness and healing and it was by far the most gentle and beautiful modality I experienced. I was introduced to Elemental Rhythm Breathwork while on a yoga retreat in Costa Rica in May 2023. I had never done breathwork before and didn't even know what it was. My very first experience with Breathwork at that retreat blew me away! I had NO IDEA how powerful my breath could be, and how transformative it was. That experience changed my life. I came back to the States and felt compelled to become a certified Reiki practitioner and Breathwork facilitator. I want more than anything to share with others these beautiful transformable practices.
I'm happy to say that all these years later I've finally regained my health. I learned so much on my journey back to self and am honored to be able to share Reiki and Breath healing energy with others.
The inception of Koru Healing Arts was a natural next step on my journey.
Koru is an integral symbol of the native tribal peoples of New Zealand's Māori art, carving and tattooing, where it symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. It is also a symbol that represents both harmony and eternal movement.
