In our modern, fast-paced, and stress-filled lives, we often overlook the importance of our breath. Like waves crashing on the beach, our breathing is an automatic ebb and flow, so intrinsic that we seldom pause to reflect on it. Breathwork is a practice that reconnects us with the gift of life itself—breathing. The simple act of breathing signifies our aliveness. This life force energy, Prana, sustains us, for breath is life itself. From our first breath at birth to our last, breath defines our existence.
It may seem paradoxical to suggest that humans don't know how to breathe properly. When was the last time you truly focused on your breath? Perhaps during moments of stress or pressure? When we feel breathless or experience panic attacks or anxiety, our breath suddenly becomes noticeable.
My curated classes and private guided sessions bring awareness back to the breath—teaching controlled, guided breathing to reconnect with oneself. Accessing our breath is vital, empowering us to ground in the present moment. Proper breathing techniques can lower stress, reduce cortisol levels, and blood pressure, transitioning us from fight-or-flight to a relaxed state of rest and digest.
